A highlight of the visit made by the AHLC working group delegation, in collaboration with the Nablus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to the National Carton Industry Company. During the visit, the delegation met with the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Mahdi Al-Masri, and the General Manager, Mr. AbdelNasser Dwaikat, The purpose of the visit was to review the latest economic developments in the operations of Palestinian companies in general, and the National Carton Industry Company in particular. It also aimed to understand the challenges these companies face under the current conditions and policies, as well as the hardships endured over the past years, The discussions primarily focused on the difficulties faced by companies recently, including challenges with mobility through checkpoints, time wastage, increased fuel consumption, and significantly rising operational costs. Additional challenges included restricted movement of goods, people, customers, and drivers, delays at crossings and ports, disruptions in supply chains for raw materials, loss of tenders and sales, restricted access to Gaza markets, and delays in the delivery of imported materials.
